Welcome to our Crescent Parishes!  Under Beacons of Light, a pastoral planning process for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, The Church of the Resurrection, Holy Trinity, Nativity of our Lord, St. John the Evangelist and St. Saviour have joined together as one faith community, the Crescent Family of Parishes.  Have you ever wondered where the name Crescent Parishes comes from?  Take a look at the map below and you will notice that the five churches in our family of parishes form the shape of a crescent moon, hence the name: Crescent Parishes. Similarly, each of the five crosses within the crescent moon on our logo represents each parish and its geographical location. 

The Chi Rho cross is a symbol that combines the Greek letters chi (X) and rho (P), which are the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ. It is a significant symbol for Catholics because it represents the central tenets of our faith, Christ’s triumph over sin and death through His crucifixion and resurrection and the hope and salvation that He offers to all who believe in Him. The Chi Rho also serves as a symbol of the unity of the Church. As we believe in the Communion of Saints, the Chi Rho symbol represents the connection between all Christians, past and present, who have been united in Christ. 

We are a vibrant community of believers who come together to worship, pray, and serve others in the name of Christ.  As Catholic Christians, we are guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the traditions of our faith, which have been passed down to us through the centuries. We strive to live out the Gospel message in our daily lives, and to support one another as we grow in faith and holiness.

Our Crescent Parishes are a place where all are welcome, regardless of where you are on your faith journey. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic or someone who is curious about the Catholic faith, we invite you to join us for Mass, prayer, lifelong faith formation opportunities and any of our many activities and events.

At the heart of our Catholic faith is the Eucharist, which we celebrate at every Mass. Through the Eucharist, we encounter the risen Christ and are nourished by his grace and love. We hope that by participating in our Masses and other liturgies, you will experience the joy and peace that come from a closer relationship with God.
