Safe Parish

In July 2021, the archdiocese transitioned to SafeParish as the new platform for Child Protection training and compliance. SafeParish is a renowned organization specializing in training and education solutions for organizations worldwide, with over 20 years of experience in delivering child-safe environment training programs.

SafeParish will collaborate with our current background check provider, Selection.com. If you have undergone VIRTUS training, all your training and background information stored in your VIRTUS account will be seamlessly transferred to SafeParish upon registration. If you have already completed live child protection training through VIRTUS, no additional live training will be required through SafeParish.

Ongoing child protection training remains mandatory for all volunteers and employees, comprising quarterly interactive video-based sessions. Furthermore, SafeParish sends weekly emails each Tuesday, containing updated articles on child protection and workplace safety, which are recommended reading but not mandatory.

It is important to note that quarterly Bulletins are required, and you can access your SafeParish account to check if you have any pending Bulletins.
