At our Crescent Parishes we understand that the death of a loved one can be a time of great pain, confusion, sadness and loss. We want to assure you that our faith community is here to provide comfort and support during this difficult time. To arrange a meeting with our bereavement minister, please reach out to our parish offices below. Our bereavement ministers will offer guidance and assistance as you navigate the process of making final arrangements for your loved one.
While the experience of death can be overwhelming, our faith can serve as a source of solace and inner strength. It is during this period that we have the opportunity to deepen our relationship with God and reaffirm our belief in His boundless love for both us and our departed loved one. Let us come together as a community to support and console one another, placing our trust in the promise of eternal life.
As Christians, our response to death is centered around prayer, as we lift up those who have passed away and their grieving families. The funeral rites, a sacred set of prayers and rituals, serve as a means of worship, praise, and thanksgiving to God, who is the giver of life. Through the celebration of these Catholic funeral rites, we find hope and comfort in the presence of the living God. The funeral rites encompass various stages, starting with prayers during the vigil or wake, continuing with the Funeral Mass, and concluding with the committal or burial.
Our priests, deacons, and bereavement ministers are committed to helping you prepare for and participate in these meaningful rites.
