Continuing its decades-long tradition, Nativity is providing heart-warming Christmas gifts for needy children and seniors through the Giving Tree initiative. We provide personalized gifts for all residents of the Pleasant Ridge Care Center, for over 50 children served by our own St. Vincent DePaul Society and over 80 children served by Mother of Christ parish in Winton Terrace. We provide “shoeboxes” filled with gifts for the first-graders at Ethel M. Taylor Academy, where one of our parishioners teaches. Additionally, we provide warm winter clothing for people served by the St. George Interfaith Food Pantry as well as gift boxes or bags for low-income seniors who live in Marquette Manor, a public housing facility.
To share in this mission of giving, you can sign up to provide a gift for a child or senior here:
You can also select tags from the Giving Tree in church the first 2 weekends of Advent (Nov. 30-Dec. 1 and December 7-8). All gifts must be turned in by noon on Sunday, December 15.
If you have any gently used items -- especially bikes, scooters, strollers, dollhouses or other toys -- we can use them! If you have an item to donate, questions, or would like to help in any way, please contact Grace Severyn, at [email protected] or home (513) 821-4163 or cell (513) 510-9453.
