As attention remains on Springfield and in preparation for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on September 29, the Catholic bishops of Ohio issued the letter linked below.
In the letter, the bishops of Ohio state, “Today, our nation is divided by partisanship and ideology, which blind us to the image of God in our neighbor, especially the unborn, the poor, and the stranger. These negative sentiments are only exacerbated by gossip, which can spread quickly across social media with no concern for the truth or those involved.”

The Cincinnati Reds announced that Bond Hill has been selected for Community Makeover 2024 and Xavier Jesuit Academy is the "anchor project site" (click here to see the full press release).
More than 400 volunteers are expected to participate in the day-long service project, scheduled for August 1, 2024, from various, iconic Cincinnati area project partners (Cincinnati Reds, P&G, Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, GE Aerospace, Kroger and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, among others.

The Archbishop Karl J. Alter Scholarship Grant was established in1964 to promote African American Catholic leadership. Its purpose is to assist graduating senior high school students in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati who are African American and Catholic to attend a college or university. A scholarship grant recipient may choose to attend a parochial, private or public institution. The Archbishop Alter Scholarship is a four-year renewable grant (paid twice a year.)
Scholarship candidates are urged to attend a four-year college/university. Scholarship candidates who choose to attend a two-year college or university will be considered. A scholarship candidate must maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average in order to renew the scholarship.
